Slow Fish is an international organization of eaters advocating for good, clean, fair seafood. Slow Fish is a branch of Slow Food. We’ve been part of the leadership team of Slow Fish, and recently helped launch Slow Fish USA. Together, we worked to introduce University of New Hampshire to Slow Fish Principles to guide their seafood purchasing efforts. Within one semester, UNH purchased over 2,000 lbs of locally-abundant, underutilized species for their dining hall. Slow Fish Workshops have been a key event for the success of the Boat to Institution work. Events have been held by students at University of Rhode Island, Northeastern University, College of the Atlantic, and University of Vermont. Want to hold a Slow Fish Workshop? Sign up here! Slow Fish 2016 will be the first Slow Fish gathering in the western hemisphere.
