The first Seafood Throwdown ever at the Boston Jerkfest! The Seafood Throwdown at Boston Jerkfest is part of a Boston-wide campaign to promote local seafood in our community, raising awareness about sustainability, seasonality and health benefits of cooking with local dayboat seafood that comes from our own community.
For this one of a kind Seafood Throwdown, we’ll have chefs Sean O’Brien of Cuisine En Locale in Somerville, MA cooking off against Nadine Nelson of Global Local Gourmet.
Chef Ken C Mar will do an “Unfilet Whole fish demo” right after the Seafood Throwdown competition- you don’t want to miss that!
So come down and enjoy the Jerkfest Seafood Throwdown and watch the chefs prepare spicy caribbean dishes for all to smell and taste. The aromas will pleasure your senses, and take you to your own Jamaican Jerk Retreat!
This Seafood Throwdown is part of our Celebrate the Fruits of Our Ocean Campaign in collaboration with Health Care Without Harm and Boston Collaborative for Food and Fitness.
