Casey Willson

Communications and Outreach Organizer

Pronouns: she/her

Casey is NAMA's Communications and Outreach organizer, stewarding relationships and making sure we stay updated with our networks.

Casey grew up eating blue crabs every summer and learning about the importance that seafood — particularly crabs and oysters — play in the culture and identity of her home state, Maryland. After spending time in Ohio, Arizona, Washington State, and Costa Rica, Casey has developed a deep appreciation for our small and medium scale food producers - both on land and at sea!

Casey attended the University of Dayton where she learned about asset based community development. She then attended University for Peace in Costa Rica and American University where she learned about the food sovereignty movement and the role corporate powers play in our food system.

In her free time Casey likes to spend time outdoors, go on bike rides with friends, and spend as much time in or near water as possible!
