Governor Healey Praises Chatham Harvesters at Massachusetts Seafood Day

A very tall Brett Tolley wears a navy blue sweatshirt, a baseball cap, and serving gloves as he chats with Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, whom Brett served Chatham Harvester's BBQ-style skate fish.

In this story by the Cape Cod Chronicle, the Chatham Harvesters Cooperative made a strong impression at Massachusetts Seafood Day when Governor Maura Healey stopped at their table and tasted their BBQ-style skate wings.

The event gave Chatham Harvesters a chance to highlight a wide variety of healthy, tasty, and local species that they catch off of Cape Cod shores, and talk about how much U.S. fish is still exported while restaurants import low-quality farmed fish.

Brett Tolley and Shareen Davis explained the cooperative’s model of catching, processing, and selling local seafood directly in the community, and their creative skate recipe won over hundreds of attendees.
