San Diego Fishermen Turn Competition Into Cooperation

A crowded Saturday morning at the Tuna Harbor Dockside Market in San Diego. Palm trees and skyscrapers can be seen the background.

This short film follows a powerful shift happening in San Diego’s commercial fishing community. Instead of competing against each other, commercial fishermen are working cooperatively to build something stronger: shared infrastructure, better access to markets, and more direct connections to the people who eat their catch.

The film lays out why these collaborative efforts are the key to building a resilient, sustainable future for the entire San Diego fishing industry.
