The North American Marine Alliance recently submitted public comments in response to Executive Order 14276 Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness.
The comments urge the Administration to reform harmful catch share policies that favor large corporations, end federal support for industrial-scale fish farms, and increase inspections of imported seafood. NAMA also highlights how these reforms could help rebuild local fishing economies, protect and boost coastal jobs, and ensure fair access to the ocean for the people who depend on it.
