Dia is NAMA’s Communications Organizer, stewarding NAMA's online communication platforms.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, she braved the northern Nevada cold to pursue a degree in Business Management and Journalism from UNR. From there, she worked in digital communications with the ACLU of Nevada, doing digital legislative advocacy work to help Nevadans protect their civil rights.
Prior to joining the NAMA team, Dia worked as a researcher with UNITE HERE’s Culinary Union Local 226 in Las Vegas, gaining a background in community and labor organizing on the state and local level. She has helped thousands of working class people win a better standard of living for themselves and their families.
In her free time, you can find her out and about in the community, playing recreational team sports, performing at open mics, volunteering at youth camps, and dancing like nobody’s watching.
