Hamida Kinge
Content Strategist
Pronouns: she/her
As NAMA's Content Strategist, Hamida supports the communications team with strategy, media relations, content development, and web management.
A catalyst for change at her core, Hamida has spent over a decade amplifying worthwhile causes ranging from environmental justice to educational equity. Her career began in Philly, where she cut her teeth as a hip hop journalist at City Paper before transitioning to nonprofit arts marketing. Over time, she has built a reputation as a nimble communicator, excelling in roles as a copywriter, marketing strategist, multimedia journalist, and language educator.
With an MA in International Training and Education, Hamida thrives on lifelong learning and cultural exchange. She has also been the recipient of two reporting fellowships — one with the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting and another with the Scripps-Howard Institute on the Environment and Science.
In her spare time, she teaches Afro-Brazilian samba dance to build community and spark social good, proving that rhythm and purpose go hand in hand. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her biking around Atlanta with her partner, spying on birds, or ranting to her cat about global injustice.
